Failed fascist presidential candidate Dmytro Yarosh has been appointed to a top military advisory position in Ukraine this week, with officials saying he will serve as a link between the military and ultra-nationalist volunteer battalions in the civil war.
Yarosh only mustered about 1% of the vote in the last election, and since then hes threatened to blow up the nations gas pipelines to spite Russia and in late January threatened to establish an alternative government with himself as the head.
Yaroshs party, the Right Sector, was formed by various fascist and neo-Nazi factions in the Maidan protests. A spokesman for the Right Sector is now bragging that with Yaroshs appointment the party will be funded directly by the Defense Ministry.
Yarosh is also on an Interpol wanted list since July, following a request by Russia, which has charged him with incitement to terrorism for the comments about the gas pipelines.

(31,237 posts)Antiwar.com is a libertarian website which says it is devoted to "non-interventionism" and that it opposes imperialism and war. It is a project of the Randolph Bourne Institute. The website states that it is "dedicated to building an awareness of the globalist and interventionist forces that would enslave us all in a New World Order on which the sun never sets."
Wen Stephenson of The Atlantic described the site as marked by a decidely [sic] right-wing cast of thought.[10] Its founders characterize themselves as libertarians,[11] and the two principal co-founders were involved in libertarian Republican politics, at the time.

(3,982 posts)You and I are not libertarians. So? That does not mean that we cannot be anti-war and it does not change the facts.
What exactly is "liberal" about trying to use this tactic and avoid discussing what is a very serious development? Where does it get anyone?
Care to actually dispute the facts?
I would not call excusing a radical neo nazi leader like Yarosh to be exactly a non-rightwing idea. Your approach is quite inconsistent.

(3,982 posts)They are firstmost anti-war. And keep in mind
"The site features many writers from across the political spectrum, including conservatives such as Pat Buchanan, libertarians such as Ron Paul, and leftists such as Noam Chomsky and Juan Cole.[12]"
Also you forgot to mention this on wikipedia: :
"The neutrality of this article is disputed."
Imagine that.

(6,002 posts)truth. This certainly seems it is NOT the case, or we've got a certain population bent on disinfo for what reason, we are left to wonder.

(3,982 posts)trying to eliminate actual historical footage as "propaganda" if history does not fit with their belief system.
There has been a HUGE trend away from the liberal ideal of learning from multiple perspectives and that is extremely frightening. Because if you eliminate alternative voices and perspective (through pressure and then eventually law), democracy is impossible and you have created a controlled State.

(151 posts)You dug up literally no information about the author at all, but decided to post his photo? Does his appearance have some implication on his validity as a reporter?
And as for antiwar.com, I suspect a lot of us are also against "imperialism and war". Their contributor list has a lot of names of people I respect on it. Maybe that's just "resume padding" for a pack of libertarian scoundrels, but that should be easy to fact check.

(3,982 posts)But doing that kind of thing is part of the phenomenon of trying to create false images. Your mind combines image with words and that makes concepts "stick".
I would almost classify that post as attempted agitiprop.
Or, it could just be that the poster is caught up in paranoia and imagined they see some evil in that face. I know religious people who get "triggered" into paranoia by such things.
Dark under the eyes is not a lack of nutrition or sleep.... it is the devils aura moohahaha. Seriously, I have known religious people who thought like that.
