... who plays the media like a cheap fiddle. Sadly, the Almighty Media conglomerates are unrepentant ratings whores. Trump knows this - hell, he's spelled it out more than once - and tailors his racism, misogyny, and fascistic lies to keep them addicted to Trump-generated ratings-smack.

I'm old enough to remember when broadcast journalism was an honorable profession. There are still a few true journalists, but they are too often ignored or drowned out by the cacophony of witless drivel from Pox News or Pox News Lite (CNN).

A chart I recently saw here on DU starkly illustrated the point. All mainstream media are controlled by just SIX corporations. Corporatism is the single greatest evil threatening the very existence of democracy in this country.
