and the results are unsettling.

This was written last Summer but due to the recent remarks from The Moron's famously racist mouth I read it again. Two weeks ago I found out that someone I know fits into this group and I had to deal with the realty of how some people think and it is very unsettling, especially when there are so many in the US who actually voted for him and would do it again tomorrow if given the opportunity.

of questions that I have/ had. Unfortunately it also explains a lot of the actions of my tRump loving sister. Thank you for sharing, BigmanPigman. I have spent hours trying to figure out where the woman I grew up with turned into someone I no longer know. It is really sad.

Also, they’re a bunch of gawd damned trolls.

The problem is that they feel perfectly entitled to attack and defame anyone unlike themselves.

Frankly I can’t wait for the day when they all become part of the minority.

will probably never change. 30 years ago when she moved out of the house that she rented with my sister and her friend she had left pro-Nazi literature under her bed I found out. I ignored it, hoping she was going through a phase since she was an artist/hippie type of person. Her last Christmas card told me that she drank the Kool-aid and is definitely one of them still. My sister wasn't as hopeful as I was and unfriended her long ago. Oh well...
I do wonder how she has raised her two young adult kids who live at home still. I know that her husband's family is also pro-Nazi and live close by. I do not think they will change their attitude if they are in that environment, even if they become the minority as years pass. It will only strengthen and reinforce their anger about their white entitlement as the chip on their shoulder becomes bigger and heavier.

are even more concerning to me. We lost 2016 by less than the numbers of those on the left who voted for Trump. The numbers who rejected Democratic candidates by not voting are larger.

This is dangerous because if their similarities cause them to unite, they will unite behind a right wing leader whose rhetoric inspires them and most of the rest of the right.

The people who mostly took over the GOP are working hard to make this happen.

We must rebuild the strong center that has always kept these forces on the fringe.
