LET'S GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT ABOUT MUELLER AND HIS INVESTIGATION
(snip)
And thats where the real shortcoming of the probe is: Its scope is much too narrow. When it comes to election meddling, Russian interference is just the tip of the iceberg.
What the US really needs is a team of investigators with subpoena powers who will
put voting machine companies and their products (and their ties to the parties) under the microscope;
.
make sure the nominating processes in all states are fair;

(11,561 posts)The GOP is in it to win it, even if it means cheating through voter suppression, hacked voting machines, gerrymandering, reducing access to the polls, and any other dirty trick they can think of. This was one of the main reasons Hillary was not permitted her win. She would have addressed the cheating in a big way and found effective solutions. The GOP couldn't permit that. As it now stands, they are vacuuming up too many American resources, especially dollars, to allow any challenges to their continued success prevail.

(16,672 posts)And how is it known the scope of the investigation doesn't include that? It's hard to know at this point how far and wide they've gone. I'm not saying those things don't have to be dealt with but blaming Mueller for not doing something about a known issue congress needs to address is odd to me. Mueller gets trashed enough.

(5,210 posts)While I agree those issues desperately need to be investigated and fixed, THIS is something of the scope of the Mueller investigation:
The giant timeline of everything Russia, Trump and the investigations https://www.pbs.org/newshour/features/russia-timeline/
Which I posted here: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100210907548
So I disagree because I think we all would like to see an end to the Mueller investigation in our lifetimes.
