The charity circuit is tiptoeing its way back to Mar-a-Lago. Here is why.
The charity circuit is tiptoeing its way back to Mar-a-Lago. ... The Palm Beach Habilitation Center and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute both will host events this winter at President Donald Trumps private Palm Beach club, after they joined more than two dozen charities in 2017 in relocating their fundraisers to other venues following Trumps controversial comments and policies.
And, in a sign the stigma that hovered over Mar-a-Lago may be fading, a new charity will join the Palm Beach clubs roster: KidSanctuary Campus, whose president formerly served as Mar-a-Lagos special events director.

Also added to the charity calendar: The controversial non-profit once led by Trumps son, Eric Trump, will hold an event this winter at Mar-a-Lago. Curetivity, formerly the Eric Trump Foundation, will hold a $750-a-ticket dinner dance on Feb. 7 at Mar-a-Lago. The event, co-chaired by Eric and his wife, Lara, is taking place at the Trump family club and property even though New Yorks attorney general is looking into the Eric Trump Foundation over its use of funds, including paying the Trump Organization to use its facilities.
Just a year ago, nearly two dozen charities couldnt leave Mar-a-Lago fast enough after Trump said there were very fine people on both sides of August 2017 confrontations between neo-Nazis, white supremacists and counter protesters in Charlottesville, Va.

not worthy of trusting with your money.
