Mitch McConnell wrote an op-ed calling for bipartisanship

On Tuesday, a week after Democrats regained control of the House of Representatives, McConnell, now the majority leader, published a FoxNews.com op-ed :
“Will Dems work with us, or simply put partisan politics ahead of the country?” the headline asked.

The good news, McConnell answered, is that “reports of the death of bipartisanship in Washington have been wildly exaggerated."

The Senate has proven its ability to reach bipartisan solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing our nation.
And looking ahead to the coming year, there will be no shortage of opportunities to continue this impressive record of cooperation across the aisle and across the Capitol.
What we can make of those opportunities will depend on our Democratic colleagues. Will they choose to go it alone and simply make political points? Or will they choose to work together and actually make a difference?

And people are not having it:
By midnight, he had received over 29,000 replies. Virtually all of them were from aggrieved liberals, many of whom responded with just one name:
Merrick Garland, Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, whose appointment was blocked by McConnell.

Among the other responses:
“I hope we work with you the same way you worked with President Obama.”
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

“Lol seriously?! How often did you work with Dems? How many times did you shut them out of major decisions when you had the majority or rammed things down our throats?

They have an opinion piece by Mike Gallaghar talking about the dysfunction in Congress, and he made no mention of the Benghazi or email hearings.

Makes me sad they took away the Comments section.

At this point, he should be interested in protecting his butt, because the backlash that hits Trump is going to have some reverberations for him, too.

Once he's proven bipartisanship, Dems will follow, but him first with the actions above or no deal.

This is what they do. Suddenly working together is want they want of course what he didn't say was that working together means doing what the GOP wants 100% of the time. No Thanks Mitch the time for working together was 2 supreme court justices ago plus a whole lot more, like tax cuts and destroying ACA the list is very long.

Mitch has been quoted as saying the most important thing he has done, is prevent Merrick Garland from being a Supreme Court Justice.. So when you lie, it is very clear.. What kind of "bi partisan solution" did you have for Mr. Obama?...We all know the answer... so here is the answer...to your lie....
