(22,156 posts)things become more mechanized, more computerized, more and more programmers need to be hired, resulting in tons of high paying software jobs, until some tried to migrate these types of jobs overseas. A lot of companies are bringing these types of jobs back into the US, not because of rump and his idiot policies, but because it is more smarter to have software people that can communicate somewhat better than overseas developers/contractors, that understand more of what US clients want.

(22,156 posts)(I think that's it that I can recall, personally), and we had problems w/ explaining problems on websites, software, etc. to these contractors, and was so confusing to the point that we started bringing support, etc. back in house, to the US. I guess clients feel more comfortable...and by the way, I worked w/ numerous folks overseas that were wonderful. It's a hit and miss sometimes. But as you say, it's a good sign and encouraging. I welcomed it since I had tons of issues in trying to communicate w/ some of these overseas people, and besides, I think that we in the US desire these jobs, after all, the computer age did start here in the US.

(1,156 posts)As this segment of the Frontline piece raises questions about what the latest and greatest AI, with a team led by the next Robert Mercer, could do? Did we learn the right lessons or did they just learn how to do it better .. without getting caught?
Thanks for posting.
