If Trump is trying to lose, it is working

Opinion by Jennifer Rubin

The steady stream of coronavirus infections in the Trump administration confirms that the White House has become a superspreader site. At the same time, President Trump continues to play down the severity of a pandemic that has taken 210,000 American lives and infected well over 7 million Americans.

D.C.-area lawmakers have denounced the "casual disregard for the health of our community, including constituents who work at the White House as staff, agents or officers of the United States Secret Service, journalists of the White House Correspondents’ Association, and the general public.” Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) similarly stated that “the opaque and secretive handling of information related to these events constitutes an obvious threat to public health and is unacceptable in a free nation whose elected leaders must be transparent with and accountable to the American people.” Even still, the White House refuses to conduct contract tracing, expanding the circle of endangered people.

There is no political payoff for this. With each new infected person, the perception of Trump as a menace to others grows.

Trump sent the stock market tumbling Tuesday with an announcement that he will not entertain stimulus plan negotiations until after the election. The declaration left seasoned reporters flabbergasted. The move is both economically and politically ridiculous.

He has just flipped out completely. It does appear he is trying to lose. And he's finally found something he's good at.

These people are fanatics. Anyone who dies from CV didn't really die of CV. or if they did die CV they died or got ill because of the Dems.

It is never the Pig's fault, it is never their fault. It is always the libs fault and owning the libs.

Trumpers are just racists, they are extremist ideological bigots.
