comparison of how the economy does under Democratic and Republican administrations

in every measure of economic vitality the economy has done better under Democrats than under Republicans. This analyis was last updated in 10/24/04, but adding Bush's disastrous second term performance (with the Trickle Down-Deregulation disaser) would only make the data worse for the Republicans - although it probably wouldn't chanage the average numbers all that much (as anybody who has tried to improve his grade point average in the last two yrs of college can attest). This analysis looks at a number of measures such as growth in income, unemployment rate, growth in GDP and others with links to data sources (usually the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis). Some of the statistics are shown with various lag times. The results still come out with Democrats showing better numbers, whatever the lag period chosen.
