Besides, CDC has not been particulary stellar in its COVID performance. Screwed up policies on masks early on, and royally screwed up testing. I'm sure trump is partly responsible. But, CDC should not have authority to issue mandates.

(54,770 posts)As a practical matter, a Prez could replace the Agency head, but seems to me the judge ruled CDC does not have authority to issue a mandate. I agree with that.
I support mask mandates, although not sure it is absolutely necessary at this point.
