3. Now the NY Times is coming clean about the start of Iran Contra? ... they helped to cover it up ...

... back in the day.

In 1980 HW Bush went to Paris and met w/the Iranians and promised them weapons and other stuff
if they held onto the hostages until after the election. The secret service agents working w/HW
hand wrote in their time reports for that time period rather then have it stamped by a machine time
keeper.

From Wiki (this was the birth of Iran Contra)

Late September 1980: An expatriate Iranian arms dealer named Hushang Lavi claims he met with Richard V. Allen, the Reagan campaign's national security expert, Robert "Bud" McFarlane, and Lawrence Silberman, co-chairman of Ronald Reagan's foreign policy advisors during the campaign, and discussed the possible exchange of F-4 parts for American hostages, but Lavi says they asserted they "were already in touch with the Iranians themselves".[25]: 206–7
October 15–20: Meetings are held in Paris between emissaries of the Reagan/Bush campaign, with Casey as "key participant", and "high-level Iranian and Israeli representatives".[30]
October 21: Iran, for reasons not explained, abruptly shifts its position in secret negotiations with the Carter administration and disclaims "further interest in receiving military equipment".[31]
October 21–23: Israel secretly ships F-4 fighter-aircraft tires to Iran, in violation of the U.S. arms embargo,[31] and Iran disperses the hostages to different locations.[32]
January 20, 1981: Hostages are formally released into United States custody after spending 444 days in captivity. The release takes place just minutes after Ronald Reagan is sworn in as president.

Both republicans, democrats, along with the media have covered up these crimes for years.

Both the NY Times and the Washington Post ran stories that there was nothing to the stories of the Reagan campaign,
HW Bush, and CIA director Casey cutting deals with Iran.

who became disgruntled with his campaign losses and switched to the GOP and ran political interference for the GOP with a tour of the Middle East to lobby leaders to not release the hostages. He ran well under the radar and was never considered for testimony etc

This is no secret. It was right out there but nobody gave a crap. Nixon got away with the same trick with the North Vietnamese when running against Humphrey in ‘68.
