The Atlanta Journal Constiution has the story on State Rep. Kip Smith (R):
Smith, whose given name is John Andrew Smith, first told the officer he had not consumed any alcoholic beverages.
I asked him again, and he stated he had consumed a single beer at Hals. I noticed also that Mr. Smiths eyes were watery, and I asked him to exit the vehicle, which he did, Kramer said in the report.

(21,691 posts)I'd rather EVERY SINGLE PERSON who uses the welfare system fraudulently be given enough "free" money to live a decent life than pay a single penny to scum like this, or Xe (Blackwater) or (fill in name of any real corporate welfare cheat). Yes, people who obtain benefits they are not entitled to are mildly annoying, but they cost us far, far less than any contractor or corrupt politician - plus those people actually spend the money in their communities, usually on extravagant things, like food, shelter, medicine, clothes .... How dare they, when that money could could be crated up, shipped to a corrupt country's corrupt administration and lost?

(37,648 posts)so I'm surprised that it pays money to adults for welfare. Here in TX, adults get only food stamps (and not much of those). Otherwise, nothing. If they have kids, the KIDS get $$$ for welfare.
