Related: About this forumGeorge Carlin on Women
My wife found this on you tube and thought women on DU might enjoy. Please, those who find George a little rough may not want to listen.

(40,416 posts)He very effectively tears apart the cultural and physiological differences between men and women. Of course, he does this from a cultural perspective, not necessarily a scientific one.
This is a great post.

George Carlin was a treasure. Kind of an anti-humanist, I kind of got the impression as he grew older he was disappointed in the human race. Still, a master comedian always.
I saw him in concert many years ago. I remember this line (paraphrasing)'my rice crispies talked to me this morning. I distinctly heard; snap, crackle and fuck you." For some reason that just cracked me up.
I don't think I stopped laughing the entire concert.

(8,040 posts)I was so pathetically sad when he died. Given that I never understood why people got so depressed when a celebrity they never knew died, I finally did when Carlin died.
I remember feeling that he was the only person in the world who looked at the world as I did.....as this absurd, ridiculous place filled with uncynical, conformist morons who aren't in on the joke that life is. I felt that he was one of the few people in the world who really "gets it".
Oddly enough, I've never heard this bit on women. That he accepts that males have privilege and that women have it bad....I have said almost the exact things he has...makes me feel even closer to him.
What a loss.

He had been a part of my life from my early teens, and I'm still a little sad he's gone.

(57,270 posts)I was shocked when he died. I knew he had heart issues, but it was still a surprise he went at a time we needed him around. I miss him and I always, always appreciate you and everyone else who posts his video and audios. He's still as fresh and sharp on the cutting edge as ever. He's timeless.
