My husband is a white skinned, green eyed, Black Man.

We are well aware that the world he walks in is different from mine. But, we use his "white privilege" to our advantage whenever necessary.

I'm tired of this crap, but hardly ever see it in the neighborhood where I live now. People won't put up with it. And it is the black women who get the brunt of it, every single time.

I am a white woman. I was in a grocery store one time and tired. I had filled my basket and was waiting in the check out line. Then I heard a black woman behind me say in an annoyed and loud tone: "I am not stealing in this store, I came in to shop here. Why are you following me around?!!" Then I said in a loud voice, "I can't shop here if black people are treated like this in here." Then I turned to those in line behind me and said loudly: "And I hope everyone here will leave their groceries behind and leave the store like me!" And I left without my week's groceries on a Friday night, but I was happy to have done the right thing!

simply deny it exist. I know first hand because I bring up the subject ( to white friends and family)
and they vociferously adamantly deflect and deny it. It was as if I had accused them of using the "N" word.
