2. What? I wasn't posting anything about any conspiracy theories here.

Just posting a video of Rachel Maddow's segment in remembrance of Hastings so others could see it, since it was a very nice segment and others had mentioned seeing it when it aired.

My OP had/has nothing to do with whatever conspiracy theories are floating around about his death.

it's a tragic loss for those of us who would like to know of the evermore evasive and camouflaged truths that he revealed for us. I hope we get to hear a summary report somewhere along the line. The one eyewitness I've seen video of recounted that the car was going exceedingly fast. Who was the last person to talk with Michael - what was pushing him to go so fast?

I appreciate you posting this video. I wouldn't have seen it otherwise.

RIP Mr. Hastings. Breaths of fresh air such as you are tough to come by.

5. I didn't accuse you of posting anything about conspiracies. I also feel the loss, not only

of someone so young, but of the truths he might have been able to reveal.

One does wonder about the circumstances surrounding events such as this, however. It's no reflection on you or your efforts that I would consider it a double tragedy if those who certainly had motive as well as means and opportunity had something to do with it.

6. It's too early to say that there was any foul play involved, but it is also too early to dismiss...

... there being such problems as well. Hopefully the authorities are doing all of the right things to investigate what happened to find out why he was driving so fast and wound up crashing his car. Sometimes these are stupid mistakes by people, and sometimes they aren't.

What we can do now is to make sure that there's no effort to NOT investigate this as a means of covering something up if there is anything wrong going on behind the scenes. Bird dog the process of investigation to make sure it is being done properly. That is all for now. Some may also do their own probing in different pockets of areas if they have information leads to follow, but most of us don't have that sort of information and no basis to suspect anything just yet.

There have been rumors of earlier death threats from one of McCrystal's minions, so you can't claim that there is no one that has the "motive" to want him dead if that is true... Those should be looked at amongst other things before dismissing this as being just an "accident" (which it very well might be).
