The IMS reports that Americans spent $307 billion on prescription drugs in 2010. The 10 drugs on which we spent the most were:
Lipitor, a cholesterol-lowering statin drug -- $7.2 billion
Nexium, an antacid drug -- $6.3 billion
Plavix, a blood thinner -- $6.1 billion

Crestor, a cholesterol-lowering statin drug -- $3.8 billion
Actos, a diabetes drug -- $3.5 billion

(182,868 posts)Seriously, the gym I used to go to had the morning re-run of his show on at 5AM. The last 20 minutes of his show is always a table discussion with at least one, usually two, "attractive" females who fall all over themselves to agree with them. Usually blonde. The 8 PM showing is a nice skirt-show for old white men before they go beddy bye.

(70,567 posts).... and talked dirty to a scared subordinate who later got millions from
him in an out of court settlement for sexual harassment? Pour some more gas
on that fire Billy.
BTW what Ms. Fluke was doing was talking for all women about the need to
be able to get the health care that they need and to be able to do in private.
Griswold v. Connecticut 1965 .... this is settle law but the republicans want to
pull the pin and hold the "sticking your nose into what is none of your business
hand grenade?" Fucking A go for it.

(70,567 posts).... told her to "name it" so that they both could get off when he called her
on the phone. That was after she had told him that she was not interested
and to leave her alone but Bill would not take no for an answer. Although
the settlement called for privacy it is thought that Ms. Mackris then taped
Bill O. on his next call or calls to her. I don't know exactly what the settlement
was about but enough information is part of the public record so it is a reasonable
guess that Bill or Rupert paid real big $s to shut down the law suit.

Plenty of stuff @ the blue links in the story ..... Bill is a reel creep.
I know Bill is carrying the right wings and Rush's water in attacking Ms. Fluke
but his lawyers must be "shitting kittens" right now. Maybe we hit the daily
double and both Rush & Bill will get taken down in this mess.

more likely they are to have some real issues on their own.

(23,731 posts)Her message was that contraceptives are used for more than just family planning. They are a legitimate medical treatment for many female health issues. Also, there are many MARRIED students that use contraceptives to postpone beginning a family until after they completed their education. Furthermore, the health plan offered at Georgetown is not subsidized by the university. It is fully paid for by the student.
These idiots have just been saying she wants to have lots of sex and therefore has to use a lot of birth control, so ergo, the public is paying for her sexual activity.
This so distorts the position Ms Fluke presented at the Democratic "forum" in Washington. She never once referred to her need for contraceptives for her own personal use.
Here is her testimony. It is very compelling and is only 4 pages long. If any of these idiots had taken the time to read it....oh wait, they really don't care, do they? They have their hate spin, so why worry about the facts.

What also bothers me, is both Chris Matthews and Ed Schultz, while being very critical of Rush, did not clearly explain what Ms. Flukes argument was really about. Rachel Maddow did a pretty good job of that last night.

(19,053 posts)Entitlement is exactly what conservatives operate from. They hate government, except when it favors them, because in their minds they are entitled, they are worthy of what they would like to deny everyone else.
I had to stop the video just after this first line because it is so outrageous that these bullies get away with corrupting simple truths like this. Now i will listen to the rest of the garbage that will follow.

Fux's female workers are all sluts and ho's now with that huge, broad brush with which he's painting all women. How is he going to make the distinction between them and the rest of the US female population without pissing his coworkers off?
