what amerika has become. In taking food out of the mouths of the hungry, that RWPOS invoked clinton and his programs to screw the poor as justification for this type of action against our nations poor. Veto time BO, let's see some testicular material on this one.

I love in his bio where it says he delivered 5,200 babies in 26 years--200 per year, apparently. is that a normal figure, especially in an area like marietta?

I wonder why this affair isn't being hammered on daily for about a week by the DNC? Many of these pics of the moment encapsulate quite nicely and truthfully (and in-context) some of the outrageous Republican positions and behaviors. There should be a constant drumbeat - a background din of this badness - put out there by the Dems. That what Repubs do, and they're able to continually promote a feeling of unease in the general public about government affairs.

I know this costs money. But, the DNC needs to step up its messaging campaign. It needs to do a bit more of this negative stuff - accurate, firmly stated and somewhat scholarly, and not like those dumb-ass Obamacare hit-pieces that conservative fuck-bags put out - and they need to do it all the time, not just in run-ups to elections.

One out of seven Americans would be down-on-their-knees grateful to be making HALF of that. One in seven. That's the ratio of poor people in America. One out of every seven lives in poverty.

Well then why don't you quit, asshole? I'm sure the fucking Heritage Foundation or the koch brothers or some such viper pit would take you in and pay you what you think you're worth. They wouldn't pay you what I think you're worth, though. I think you're worth less than NOTHING.

And most people receive food stamps for only about 6 months. And food stamps are the most economically stimulative way to spend government money. This is just insanely cruel.

It makes them feel big and powerful, just like the school yard bully 6th graders who likes to slap 1st graders with no big brothers around.

IMHO, every lobbyist in Washington and in every state capitol, needs to be deported to the poorest country in the world ASAP.

92% are children, disabled, senior citizens and the working poor. In fact, 75% are families with children. SNAP for working age adults without children is pretty rare and benefits are low. I have a disabled friend who receives $811 a month SSDI. Her monthly SNAP is $16. SIXTEEN DOLLARS!

I understand that the S in SNAP stands for "supplemental", IE. it's not supposed to be your entire food budget. But I don't think most people understand exactly how little SNAP usually is. Yes, before my friend's disability came through and her income was ZERO, she got $200 a month.

I do not live in GA but I wanted to remind him he is free to leave. I told the man who answered the phone his boss really IS free to leave and maybe we can get someone who cares about the poor in there.

I have never had to use assistance but have known some who did through no fault of their own

How much arrogance are we expected to take?

20. I wonder, when they read "A Christmas Carol"
Fri Sep 20, 2013, 06:50 PM
Sep 2013

during the yuletide, do they identify with Ebenezer Scrooge and root for his miserliness? Do they think they should kick Tiny Tim in the ass and tell him to pull himself up from his bootstraps? Should Bob Cratchit not get that extra piece of coal for warmth while completing the end-of-year reports?

And that Scrooge should buy the largest duck hanging at the shop, and eat it himself, right in the presence of all the poor, destitute and hungry.

It's as though all those Christmas stories, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, A Christmas Carol, The Little Drummer Boy, Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer all gave no meaning to these people. These very same people who profess to have an undying love for Jesus and all that he stands for. I just don't get it.
