Without a restraint on the claws, there would be few Lobstahs left in the holding Tank. Crabs will do the same. I learned my lesson many Years ago, when I decided to use a Crab Pot as temporary storage for the critters until I had enough to invite friends over for a feast. When it came time, I pulled up the pot and there was only one battle-scarred Crab left and lots of bits of Crab shell.
