First Ever Marijuana TV Ad

The Young Turks ·Published on Mar 8, 2014

"A company called MarijuanaDoctors.com says it made history Monday when one of its commercials was aired by the biggest cable TV provider in the United States.

The TV spot began airing in New Jersey only and it will be played 800 times over the next two weeks. One of the company's owners called it significant that the commercial is airing across the entire state and is being aired by Comcast, a telecommunications giant.

"We made history yesterday," John Nicolazzo, chief operating officer and part owner, said in an interview Tuesday. "It's a milestone."

Medical marijuana has come a long way in the U.S. in recent years and is now legal in 20 states plus the District of Columbia. Colorado and Washington have gone even further and legalized marijuana for recreational use."* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian break it down.

...the irony to me of them using a street ''sushi dealer'' for the comparison to a street drug dealer, seeing how that scenario could very well come true after Fukushima.

I mean, on the one hand, you got "Round Up" for weed "control" …

from one of "their" doctors.

Shouldn't the message be, "You DON'T HAVE TO buy medical marijuana this way"? Better yet, why not show a patient going through the procedure of obtaining medical marijuana in a legal, professional, and DIGNIFIED manner?

On edit: Here's the link to the site for New Jersey.
