(8,445 posts)If Mormons didn't play a part, I'll be pretty surprised.

(12,272 posts)There are two types of Mormons, the ones they present to the public on billboards and on your front steps and then there is the Mormon mafia. The Mormon mafia, their term, not mine, are in collusion in any business with which they can make a buck and screw the billboard Mormons and non-Mormons.
Anyone remember the Mormon female who was traveling back from Mexico and was caught with a large amount of marijuana under her bus seat? The church came to her aid and there was this totally unbelievable story about a guy who was on the bus and then ran at the check point and she was let go.
Yes, I agree cprise, if there is easy money to be made, Mormons are involved.

(12,272 posts)The Mexican drug cartels are at war... with Mormons. In Part 4, the Mormons illegally arm themselves and implement American counter-terrorism techniques used in Iraq and Afghanistan.
But I gather that Mexican citizens living in Mexico, in general, cannot own guns.

(17,301 posts)The only reason they are in Mexico and dealing with all the crime is because they want to have several more young girls as wives when they get old and fat. Yeah look at them willing to fight back the drug cartels so they can have younger and younger wives as they get older and older.

(448 posts)The mormons in Mexico are a decent bunch of people. Even if they were 'for' Romney, you can see the basic good hearted decency in them -- the kind of folks you'd like to have as neighbors. And what a story...glad to see them fighting back against the cartels, and doing it effectively.

(28,932 posts)Was impressed with the Mexican Mormons. I have Mormon family in Utah and many of them are a lot like these folks and mostly Jack Mormons.

interesting perspective. I personally know of one kidnapping and two killings in the last couple of years. I am sure there have been more and around the time this was filmed there were a lot of random checkpoints that were gone last time I was down there.
It was a little overdramatized and I wonder how the LeBarons are doing now. THAT was a story I never heard before! The husband says he thinks he remembers something about it but totally new to me. LOL
