A new viral video showing a U.S. Marine and solider taking a flag from two protesters in Albuquerque, N.M., has sparked a heated First Amendment debate.
In the short video, two protesters riding on a motorized scooter are seen holding the America flag upside down. Two men, one wearing a U.S. Marines T-shirt and another sporting an Army tee, sprint after the protesters and eventually yank the flag away and leave with it. It should be noted that neither men have been identified or confirmed as active or former military.
It is also unclear when the video was recorded, however it was uploaded to YouTube on Monday.
We serve our f***ing country, that's bulls**t! one of the men shouts in the video."* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian break it down.

I defend people who use the flag as a form of protest, but reserve the right to take issue with their cause. Our flag doesn't belong to any one group or person, and I'm deeply offended when someone claims it as theirs, regardless of military service.
About 20 years or so ago at work there was a spirited discussion in the lunch room about making it illegal to burn the flag. The usual loudmouth armchair patriots spouted the expected vitriol about what they wanted to see happen to such a protester, and it was getting downright vile.
That's when a co-worker who was well known for his Marine combat heroism in Vietnam quietly said: "I don't want anyone to go to jail for burning the flag", while barely even looking up from his newspaper. There was a sudden silence as I looked about the room at the open mouths... then after a few uncomfortable seconds, someone changed the subject.
Bravest man I've ever known, and I'll never forget that moment. At least he knew the true meaning of freedom.

like most things, they are outraged because they FEEL they should be. yet liberals are the 'bleeding hearts' with no emotional self control.
its perfectly fine to fly an American flag upside down. in fact the armed forces do it sometimes. not to mention as others have said here.. tea party folks have done it and WORSE all the time at their rallies.
even flag law itself addresses the issue and states "The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property". if youre protesting, youre probably distressed and figure something of yours is in danger.
this had nothing to do with respect for a flag, and all to do with someone with too much time and testosterone on their hands.
