Jimmy Carter is one of the most misunderstood Presidents of the modern era. A true liberal and champion for human rights at home and abroad. He inherited a terrible mess in having to clean up the utter disaster and national despair which was the aftermath of the Nixon-Ford years. He tried his best but also had basic luck working against him.
