I cannot imagine that the FCC is going to make them dismantle that.

And, you can already buy modems capable of delivering the juiced up high tier service.

Meanwhile, I've been having trouble with my broadband speed since April 1. Comcast claims it's because my modem is outdated and they will send me a new one for only $8 more a month (for the rest of my life). But the older modem, which Comcast also supplied, worked fine until March 31 and the change was sudden and highly noticeable.

But, who should I believe, Comcast or my own lying eyes?
