Gaza: Is this a war on children? | Channel 4 News ( Warning )

&feature=player_detailpage#t=1

Link to discussion on topic in GD thread by malaise, here: Who does this to fellow human beings?

The bombs that hit these streets in the time between the Observer's two visits were visible, and sometimes audible, across the city as huge explosions sent up eruptions of grey smoke into the sky.

What happened here in Beit Hanoun, and in other neighbourhoods of Gaza hardest hit by the Israeli assault, will inevitably demand an explanation: whether the extremity of violence unleashed in these residential areas in recent days was proportionate, or if the destruction amounts to a war crime.

to use F16's, Hellfire missiles, 500 lb bombs against babies in civilian heavily populated areas is the act of cowards. They are the most modern equipped military in the world (thanks to our $) yet they can't go in and close up the boogyman tunnels without doing this?

in such a way that there are likely to be booby traps, IED's. At the same time, Hamas will be hard to
get to.

But yea, this entire thing is disgusting, and did not need to happen.

Thanks for adding the link, I hope people read it...we're complicit.

From Amnesty International:

Over the years, Amnesty International, has documented the link between U.S. arms and Israeli violations. U.S.-made F-16s, Hellfire missiles, drones, U.S.-issued Caterpillar bulldozers, Apache helicopters and other equipment have been directly linked to violations by Israeli forces of international humanitarian and human rights law. Yet, the U.S. continues to supply weapons to Israel. Knowing this, the U.S. is violating its own laws and policies, as well as (potentially) implicating itself in the commission of any future violations that may take place.

Thanks for that link, riverwalker.

...that's the $3 Billion annual US aid (your tax dollars and mine) at work.

We're helping to pay for this massacre.

This is making me ill.
