The New Republican Plan, is identical to the Old Republican "PLAN"...to go on totally screwing 98% of Americans and to run and fetch 24/7, for their secret corporate benefactors.
We are still being BUSH-whacked by the GOP. They really do put the PUKE in REPUKE!
Edit to add...The repukelican Prayer, "Lucifer, just let us steal, one more election."

(1,606 posts)Amusing image, but the NRA is NOT in control of the Senate confirmation process.
Or IS it??? Are our elected "Democrats" are so cowardly that they cannot call the bluff of this straw man?
This display of utter impotence is not the "FORWARD" that I rallied for in 2008 and 2012.

Same reason they held up confirmation of other executive positions, acting positions simply do not have the same administrative power.
Not to mention being one man down on a team is never a good thing.

(750 posts)EarlG does illustrate something that is broken within mainstream media that delivers political commercials that is more than far reaching and vulgar than what appears.
There is real honesty that is revealed in penetrating highly objectionable or offensive, odious behavior that are in todays political lies. Especially by the two prominent political characters Mitch McConnell and Rick Perry.
They dominate ideas that are prevalent in nurturing the public to vote against their needs. The damming part is the failure of mainstream media for the past century obscuring the contents of legislation developed and entered on record.
The media offers so faintly a perceptible education into the real laws or core that drives the lives of Americans. So much so it now appears as a lack or real clear delineation of middle class values, indistinct to good Capitalism or Conservatism.
Worse, this bait and switch politics loaded with lies is a diminished theme an antithesis to the Republic the Democracy the essence of the Constitution and survival of middle class and leaving the only hope for the poor is to buy a gun to get what might be needed.

(1,200 posts)how does the NRA have a say in ANYTHING relating to the government? Yes, I know they are a huge lobby and I really should read more. But, they are not a government agency. Or are they? How on earth can they have a say in anything besides what their fanatical group does? I just don't understand this. Actually, I'm starting to not understand much of anything happening in this country anymore.

(165 posts)The Republicans were complaining this Sunday morning on the talk shows there is no top person speaking out about Ebola. They didn't think Obama was doing enough. But they continue to block anything that has to do with healthcare.
When will the voters wake up to what Republicans have not done in a few years and elect politicians that want to help them, not hinder their health.
