I do get food stamps.

I don't like getting high, I haven't used even pot for decades.

The last narcotics I used were prescription, and that was last year.

BUT...

I read somewhere that the false positive rate on these "pee in a cup" tests is 5%.

So 5 out of a hundred were labeled drug abusers, falsely.

(Not to mention the Florida fiasco along this line...)

Until they get ZERO false positives, I will quite vocally oppose them.

That's the best one you've come up with lately, EarlG. Before we know it, they will be either catheterizing people or have cameras in the restrooms to be sure they don't cheat. Seriously. If this starts happening as a dictate all over this country, the catheter or camera won't be far behind.
I wonder, will they drug test the entire family? Just the parents? And who pays for all the testing???

I can't figure it...must be his "affable nature," the fact that he is good at making his extreme ideas sound obvious and reasonable, and just a general malaise among the "undecideds" who end up swinging elections. OH, and he's a Packer fan. And Badger fan, and sometimes he recognizes the Brewers.

Sad thing for me is the he is my boss. I am in the UW system.

Presuming that a minority of those tested are actually drug users, and presuming that the accuracy of the test is not perfect, the inevitable result of any drug testing mandate is that there will be many more false positives than false negatives.

It is a statistical inevitability, given the presumptions, or any political argument.
