First of all, lets nail this down: ego aggrandizement is a distraction from the Cause. Anyone in this simply to become president later is barking up the wrong tree. The idea is to restore democracy in America and a avert a corporate dictatorship. This isn't about anybody's ego.

What we probably need is a blue box for the internet in case net neutrality takes a fatal blow from America's board of directors. We should assume the won't try to deprive of use of social media. For those who have forgotten or are too young to know, a blue box was a device used in the sixties and early seventies to make long distance calls without being charged by The Phone Company. Steve Wazniak and Steve Jobs made and sold blue boxes and their earnings, entirely illegal, were the foundation of Apple Computer. A blue box for the internet should be distributed freely and widely to activists, especially in the US, if net neutrality becomes a thing of the past, and in places like China and Iran, where the internet has always been regarded as a threat to the governing elite.

If it becomes a complete alternate internet, then it would also have the benefit of keeping the NSA out of our e-mail.
