Inhofe's been a known commodity for decades. But Oklahomans don't find that pattern objectionable. In fact, they are happy to let him represent them on major issues.

The voters are either just dumb-f**k stupid or just so fundamentally evil and mean spirited they want to sit back and destroy the planet. In preparation for End Times, no doubt. Beam them up, Scotty, please.

These idiots are bat-shit crazy and should be banned from holding office. Why aren't our leaders calling them out in an equally extreme way? Why are Obama, Hillary, Bill etc so spineless and wimpy? What privileges are they afraid of losing? We better start electing Progressives who get to the heart of the matter instead of pretending it doesn't exist...our system is totally corrupted. No wonder young people won't vote.

She really did land in their metaphorical crosshairs. Years ago I went to a wedding for a distant relative by marriage. The priest, a Catholic priest, in the middle of the matrimonial ceremony said that sometimes it's okay to hate people and that he sometimes wishes that Barbara Streisand would slip on a banana peel.

Not that I was going to church much before then, but it solidified my apathy about attending services, since it was an era where I was inclined to hear things that would convince me that religion, as I was raised to practice it, was no longer viable.

I couldn't even bond with in-laws who were raised in the Catholic practices because they had taken to the right-wing screed. And they had strong ties to their church, so the fact that the priest dropped that gem in church was an indication that the world had fallen off its axis. Very difficult time for me, which I resolved by distancing myself from them.

I think that when he has one of his so called HOAX hearings someone like (Streisand as an example) should get permission and bring a glass of oil and water mixed together with tar sands, Texas crude Oil, or Oklahoma Crude oil, (don't want to show favoritism in oil now do we) mixed together from Oglala water aquifer (since it is in part of his state), a jar with fracking water and then light the thing and ask him to drink the cocktail, and then to top it all off, a jar with soda ash, lead, mercury deposit coming out a coal fired smoke stack from a polluted lake to drink it and if he will not, to then ask him to take the dry compound of pollutes and have this right wing hypocrite to use it as salt and pepper on a sandwich or a meal, and then ask do you think its a HOAX and ask him to take a bite.
Lets see his conviction LIVE in a hearing room, show us that its not dangerous to eat or drink, please show the entire country, that what we environmentalist are saying is a joke and a HOAX.
That all this crap is clean, the water is clean, food is clean, air is clean, give all of us the Mr. Rogers or Capt'n Kangaroo moment (by the way I loved them both), teach us that we don't know anything.
And then we can all see the true right wing hypocrisy come out of a his right wing mouth of total disdain of Humanity and the planet by someone that has been bought and sold to the highest bidder and should be IMPEACHED

I thought the usual wingnut narrative was that Gore had paid 97% of the world's climate scientists to distort their findings in order to plug An Inconvenient Truth. Clearly, the investment was worth it, as it went on to gross more money than Avatar, Titanic and the entire Harry Potter series combined. Thank goodness a few brave Koch-funded scientists (or people who play scientists on TV) were prepared to sacrifice everything in order to get the truth out.

And James Inhofe also refuses to believe in stars (of the celestial kind) because he went outside one afternoon and looked up, and there were NO STARS! Obviously, the whole star thing is another hoax.

But seriously, I thought Al Gore was behind it all.

but I can't for the life of me understand how she became some sort of archetype of evil among conservatives. She's an actor and a singer, not a world leader. She's not a politician. She's not even a muckraker.

I suppose that she's supported some causes the right don't care for. Given their enmity towards her, that must be the case. But hell; lots of people; actors, singers, politicians, etc., have supported "liberal" causes, so what's so special about Streisand? She passed her peak of popularity decades ago, so it's not like she's an opinion leader that they have to counter.

1. She has been a consistent supporter of the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates for 40+ years (Her 1972 album Concert At The Forum was recorded at a George McGovern fundraiser);
2. Anti-semitism - some things never change;
3. She is a feminist icon, and we know how well THAT goes down with the Foxy Noise crowd (especially Bill-O);
4. Her most recent album hit #1 on iTunes recently, so while she may not be selling records at the levels of the Guilty album, she still has a large fan base, and when she tours, her shows typically sell out in minutes;
5. By all accounts, she's fearless, and has zero tolerance for fools and the BS they disseminate.

In short, she's still a threat to the Old Boy Network that runs things in the GOP. She's had to deal with Old Boy Networks throughout her career in the entertainment business, so this should be Old Hat for her. I say - go get 'em!

But, maybe what we need is a phone APP that shows how fun, even makes a game of voting, so the masses will 'want to' vote in their best interests.

Ugh! We need to institute mandatory military service like they do in some European countries, so that people of voting age and of all ages thereafter, can feel they have a stake in the country they are a part of.

And we shouldn't put unqualified fools in charge of life-or-death decisions based on politics (which is all about raising money).

If we can't see that -- if we can't DO something about it soon -- then this nation will get the lobotomy it deserves.

A lot of this started when the GOP cozied up to the SBC (Southern Baptist Convention) and got their message proclaimed from the pulpits as though it came from god.

What is this world coming to?

I wonder what Inhofe's grades were in science classes.

Inhofe was born in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Blanche (née Mountain) and Perry Dyson Inhofe.[2] He moved with his family to Tulsa, Oklahoma, when he was a child. He was a member of the Class of 1953 at Tulsa Central High School,[3] and served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1958.[4] Inhofe received a B.A. degree when he was nearly 40 years old from the University of Tulsa in 1973.

Inhofe worked as a businessman for three decades before becoming a full-time politician.[5] He worked in the field of aviation, as a real estate developer, and in insurance, eventually becoming the president of the Quaker Life Insurance Company. During the time he worked for Quaker Life, the company went into receivership; it was liquidated in 1986.[6]

Thu Dec 4, 2014, 12:32 PM
Dec 2014

One time in my work experience I had the opportunity to work with an influential business person that possessed a Doctorate degree in economics. This was back in the eighties, the roaring Reagan years.

This short story highlights a lot of the inconsistency in America’s everyday life that is current in what Alvin Toffler wrote about in the book called “Future Shock” a book about what will likely happen in the future about choice. America is there now.

This economic person who was thought to be qualified to make predictions for business success turned out to be questionable or outright incompetent. It was a time that I found out this doctor of economics never took a course in Calculus.

As a student of engineering knowing that mastering a basic concept of exponential mathematics developed by Carl Friedrich Gauss is not only needed in science but is the fundamental core theory in money and business management.

Today with the so called uncertainty in climate change plus decisions to be made in government this type of knowledge must be a requirement for our future political people and all citizens must have a solid foundation in this theory or America will not survive as what Franklin once said “ As a Republic” Even the one percenters are scared about something as we all watch the gas prices plummet below $3.00.

It is very disappointing or just plain stupid to hear a political person say they are not a scientist, or engineer to avoid from sorting the important legislative community needs in public discourse that depend all sorts of science and technology involvement. Especially understanding about electric cars, clean water, clean air.

It is time to look at some of the political resume’s out there. However it is not just the resume’s it is the success rate of decisions that need to be observed and scrutinized. It has always been the ideal economic engine is the educational machine now stymied sputtering with very vivid or intense in tone that Republicans are blocking the best education Americans can get through a better system. A free K16 system.

I will use a Palin metaphor The basic educational K12 system needs to be “reloaded” and doubled down for improvement. What was once the providence of the college structure needs to be rescaled into a new k16 free education paradigm.

Its obvious there is something wrong in the governing decisions made about world resources so far because disasters are piling up faster in this new technology era.

We are in future shock, and worst of all it is the media that has the most important responsibility to serve to public however the media serves themselves through commercial revenue especially at voting time. Profits galore with political lies spreading through the culture that divides to country.

If humans are not responsible for climate change, it is certain humans are at the least teasing the situation to a point the earth ecosystem is jittering to a collapse. Else there are those who are of the flat world mentality which is simply the wrong way to think.

Inhofe's argument about Barbara being the reason for a hoax in climate change shows all America his ineptitude however there is a deep vailed reason for doing so masking. Inhofe has to be keeping the Republicans in delaying time by making such a foolish claim.

It can be argued Inhofe is giving America a 911 warning about Barbara…

However in my view the real reason is covered up like the original ground zero 911, never forget, Bush knew what was going to happen and ignored all the signs.

Better yet likely Bush and the Inhofe group all profiteered making better than minimum wage money on Building America.
