11. If John Mara or Jeff Lurie were owners then it would have been a conflict

Since Obviously Christie is too big of a douchebag to actually root for the teams that the folks in his state actually support.

4. That contract was awarded two years ago, and Jones said they've been friends for....

..."a few years". So they apparently became "friends" right around the time that Jones' company began pursuing the contract with the Port Authority!

12. Were they friends before CC came to office?

If so, Jones would be less a "friend" and more of a lobbyist.

And let's not forget, last year's Super Bowl was the only outdoor cold weather Super Bowl EVER.

"Influence" and payback you think?

Republican presidents can torture.

Republican presidents can falsify intelligence to justify an expensive counterproductive war of choice.

It is not illegal if Republican presidents do it.

22. Kinky Friedman referred to Jerry & Chris as "latent homosexuals" on ESPN today.

The ESPN host went major-league chickenshit about it, apologizing for the remark, after the fact. I don't think this is working out the way Christie intended......

25. more 1%er BS

The fact that his defense is "a rule was written, by a governor, that makes it ok for governors to do it" is the most condescending and elitist bullshit I have every heard.
the fact the McBoondoggle in Va only got 2 years when sentencing guidelines called for a minimum of 10-12 years is condescending and elitist bullshit.

Even if Chris Shiftie admits later it was wrong, he will come on TV and put on a sad clown face and give lip service to poor decisions and even worse advice from staff and say "just want to say I've learned from this experience and I for one want to put this whole experience behind me and move forward to better days ahead..." blah blah blah. Everyone will think he is a "great leader" for taking non-responsibility "responsibility" and ask everyone to "get off his case..he apologized" sort of...and in short NOTHING WILL HAPPEN....NOTHING TO SEE HERE.
Chris Shiftie 2016!

31. And just who issued that executive order that allows the governor to circumvent ethics regulations?

Seriously. That was my question.
Was it signed by a previous NJ governor?

Nope.

"Christie’s office has argued despite Jones and the NFL doing business with the state, the governor is nonetheless permitted to accept the travel and tickets under an executive order he signed that permits him to accept gifts from 'personal friends.' "

http://www.ibtimes.com/christie-cowboys-new-jersey-lawmakers-consider-investigation-nfl-tickets-free-travel-1775486

Though I read in another thread that McGreevey originally signed this EO. Can anyone clarify?

32. Christie exceptionalism.

Laws are made for everyone else. They don't apply to him.

Greedy thug with a strong sense of entitlement.

Remember the helicopter he took to his son's soccer game at taxpayer expense 'cause meeting with the high rollers who wanted him to run for POTUS made him later for the game. Yes, he did reimburse (in theory) for the trip, but only after it hit the publicity fan.

If he didn't know about the bridge stunt, I'll eat that bridge without tenderizer.
