Sarah Palin delivers ‘bizarro’ speech to Iowa Freedom Summit and Twitter users react hilariously

Appearing at Iowa Congressman Steve King’s Freedom Summit, star speaker Sarah Palin spoke from a binder of notes, delivering a string of one-liners designed to fire up conservatives while interspersing them with stock and sometimes garbled patriotic platitudes.

National media covering the event — and viewers watching it live on C-Span — lit up Twitter with running commentary on the linguistic twists and turns Palin made as her own Twitter account pumped out tweets directing followers to her political action committee, SarahPAC.

One conservative columnist, Toby Harnden, called Palin’s speech, “bizarro.”

Here is the bizarre speech:

*Definition of pidgin in English:
NOUN

[OFTEN AS MODIFIER]
1A grammatically simplified form of a language, typically English, Dutch, or Portuguese, some elements of which are taken from local languages, used for communication between people not sharing a common language.

1.2 [AS MODIFIER] Denoting a simplified form of a language, especially as used by a non-native speaker:

we exchanged greetings, communicating in pidgin Spanish or pidgin English

"This is to forgo a conclusion"

Sarah Palin, circa yesterday, well paid and willing GOP official rodeo clown sent in early to get the bulls and the crowd all riled up before the main event of bulls and bucking Cowboys.

Her Ace card is victimhood, it play well for her among her witless followers. And stupid doesn't seem to hurt her among that crowd either.

I think the Repugs keep putting her out there to back up their unspoken of belief that women are stupid and vapid barbie doll figures who can speak (whether they are coherent is beside the point). Not that she's all that attractive, but she sure personifies the stereotype of what all the RWNJ seems to believe about women.

If she does come out with, "I have a problem" I will be very surprised... and I doubt she will be the one to announce it because in her self centered mind, she's perfect.

The main time most of us saw her was reading from the teleprompter at the Republican convention. This for a communications major, who had worked as I think a sports commentator, had to be something that was not at all new to her. It might be ironic that the Republicans claimed that our brilliant, articulate President needs a teleprompter -- when in reality it was their former VP candidate - likely chosen because of her looks and gender, not resume or vision.

Mon Jan 26, 2015, 08:41 PM

She was chosen for her hard-right religious views. John "My Wife Owns The Third-Biggest Beer Distributor In America" McCain was told he would never receive the Evangelical vote unless he took Sarah Palin - who was well-known in Fundamentalist circles for her religiosity long before she was inflicted on the rest of us - as his running mate.

It wouldn't surprise me if he had to cut a deal where he'd become "too sick" to continue in the job 25 to 26 months into it - because according to presidential rules of succession, if the VP becomes president with less than two years remaining in the term he or she can run for two full terms after the foreshortened one ends.
