(19,537 posts)One film that I think goes well to show what lead to this tragedy with the Grave of the Fireflies showing the consequences of decisions made by Robert McNamara is the Fog of War. I think if one has a double feature to help people understand the full effects of this part of the war, these two films work well together to show that full picture.

I had a friend who saw this in a double feature when it was released in America for the first time. With My Neighbor Totoro. They played Grave of the Fireflies first - the only reason I can think is that the audience needed a pick-me-up after.
