I find this completely and utterly FABULOUS, DELICIOUS, and EXQUISITELY SPECTACULAR!!!! And a Damn Long Time coming, too. But FINALLY!!!!! At Long Last!!! It's about time we started calling them exactly what they ARE. And on the front pages in big bold capital letters, too. It's About. Fucking. TIME!!!!

I am utterly EXULTANT this morning!!!!

(AND they threw in "treachery" and "betrayal", too, just for good measure.)

The Bibi invite with this on it's heels. I would LOVE to see the press press home their alert(s)! SIX long, wasted years these seditionists have sought to pull the legs out from under a president selected by THEIR constituents! And only able to do so because of the GOP redraw of districts across the USA. How friggin' clearly does this criminal activity have to have it's dots connected before they're handed their walking papers???

OF course - CONsidering the impending reinstatement of corporate law to the AJ's seat - CONsidering that the big banks all got a pass six years ago - CONsidering that O'Lielly's ratings are up after having his sleight-of-tongue revealed.... I don't hold out much hope.

Wondering if this friend is finally gonna start looking with more interest and favorability at the Democratic Party for a change. Maybe that is too much to hope for, but this friend is now thoroughly pissed off and disenchanted with the formerly preferred team.

The next best thing for an individual like that would be, I hope, that they stay home on Election Day, in disgust over what the GOP has been doing. THAT is the voter I actually do hope will stay home, pouting. Then WE can run the table, and then get at least a few ridiculously horrible GOP-created/aggravated messes cleaned up.

I hope it does.

Hmmmm, wrongwingers - you actually want to vote for this guy who's now been publicly and formally branded a TRAITOR, 'eh? And what does that say about YOU then? I hope the Dems plan to play rough next year. They sure can use this in their arsenal!

I think many of these weirdos watch so much internet porn that they actually start thinking life is really like that, with woman wanting to digest the male organ at any time of the day or night. Then when that never happens they take it out on women. I think every one of these perverts cannot accept that women are their equal, and in most cases superior, at least morally, and logically.

I am a male. Even so, I still have good eyesight, an logical thinking ability.

think and act as a norm.

"On January 20, 2009, the night when the Obama's were attending inaugural balls and most Americans were out celebrating the end of the Bush years, a group of powerful Republicans was planning the end of Obama presidency before it even got going.

At the Caucus Room restaurant right here in Washington, DC - GOP leaders drew up a plan to intentionally sabotage Obama at every point possible. The whole thing was orchestrated by Republican propaganda mastermind Frank Luntz and over the course of four hours, a group of the most powerful conservative lawmakers in the country committed to a plan of action.

They promised each other that they would filibuster and obstruct any and all legislation supported by the new President, Barack Obama. They would do everything possible, for as long as it took, to make his a "failed presidency." On the guest list for this “invitation only” meeting were Republican Senators like Jim DeMint, Jon Kyl, Tom Coburn, John Ensign and Bob Corker. Also in attendance were Congressmen Paul Ryan, Pete Sessions, Jeb Hensarling, Pete Hoekstra, Dan Lungren and - you guessed it - Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy."

all the other outrageous, irresponsible, and dangerous positions the GOP has taken over the last 8 years.

I am happy to see that the headlines and public opinion seem to be cascading toward ridicule and amazement and anger. It's about time GOP policies take a real beating.

Maybe Biden is the guy to stand up and talk about the lives and livelihoods destroyed by the GOP for similar partisan/fundamentalist stunts. Shutting down the government while placing a top priority on defunding planned parenthood cost lives. Cutting safety nets costs lives and is not rooted in sound economics. Obstructing improvements in our health care system for purpose of upholding some impractical Randian ideal costs lives. Obstructing reasonable gun control (like background checks that 80% of the public wants) costs lives. Filibustering veterans care while dems control senate only to immediately pass it when gop controls senate is blatant, outrageous selfishness that cost lives. These are all dangerous partisan stunts.

This administration and this nation have witnessed this kind of behavior from the GOP which should have elicited similar outrage and public ridicule by us all. I'm glad their Iran stunt is backfiring...time to heap on the ridicule and link this stunt with all the other damaging, irresponsible, reckless, and ignorant stunts we've had to endure. Easy case to make...just need headliners to make the case and remind the public of who they really are.

Tue Mar 10, 2015, 02:37 PM
Mar 2015

Between sessions at a state Democratic convention, I sat in the lobby of a hotel when a young man sat next to me. I began a conversation and eventually he asked me why I was there. I explained that I was attending the convention, and he said to me "Democrats are boring."

There you go.

We could get a lot more voters to the polls if we stood up more dramatically for more controversial stances that would affect people's lives.

That is one of the reasons that I would like to see a good primary and ultimately a candidate who can win people's hearts and minds by focusing on the issues that the American people find important.

A good starting point is your suggestion: "time to heap on the ridicule and link this stunt with all the other damaging, irresponsible, reckless, and ignorant stunts we've had to endure. Easy case to make...just need headliners to make the case and remind the public of who they really are."

Gang of Four

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gang_of_Four

The Gang of Four (simplified Chinese: 四人帮; traditional Chinese: 四人幫; pinyin: Sìrén bāng) was a political faction composed of four Chinese Communist Party officials. They came to prominence during the Cultural Revolution (1966–76) and were later charged with a series of treasonous crimes. The gang's leading figure was Mao Zedong's last wife Jiang Qing. The other members were Zhang Chunqiao, Yao Wenyuan, and Wang Hongwen.

What does this action say to our real allies, members of the 5+1?
Britain and France cannot be happy about it

needs to add turbans to their heads.

Hey, you know they would and have done so to President Obama.

Since we have a multitude of DUers carrying water for the "right-wingnuts" by trying to make the "both parties do it" argument for them, isn't it time to show them that we can be just as despicable as the repukes are?

After all, I've heard repeatedly on DU how "both parties are just the same".

Apparently, in today's world, despicable is what wins elections!

86. Interesting - threads where DUers are decrying the letter are being targeted

by 'concerned' posters who are worried we don't know what we're talking about when use words like traitor, treason, sedition, betrayal. They firmly defend the GOPs letter as if it were not an uncommon event and attempt mockery to shut down those who see the "Letter' as all kinds of wrong.

I wonder why they don't post their concerns for EarlG and their fear that his posts on the 'Letter' will be seen as ridiculous?

I just don't see any of their names on these threads.

Gee - wonder why?
