(3,282 posts)Cheney's not in the White House any more!
Please please please can he stop informing the scope of the conversation!?!
Can he please stop being reported on as though his opinion matters in any meaningful way?
Can he please board a plane to Belgium so they pick him up on the tarmac and send him to the Hague?
And since I'm making wishes, can the Koch brothers please spontaneously combust?

What is a word for someone with not only no credibility, but was wrong on every single item they dealt with and should never be listened to, what is a one word descriptor for that or phrase?

(6,539 posts)Before the 2000 election, Dick Cheney was seen as a deep-voiced grandpa figure to the idiot drunk-till-he-was-forty imbecilic "senator's" son. But long ago America learned that grandpa could be one of the dumbest people to ever live. Keep opening your deep mouth you idiot and prove over and over that YOU and your liege were the worst EVER.
And that means worse than Nixon, YOU fucking piece of shit! We are still suffering from the international and domestic problems that you twin fuck-ups caused. Truly, you deserve to have the entire weight of the universe fall on your heads. There is not enough pain in the universe to do justice to what you deserve.

(8,853 posts)...the things they heard Democrats say about Bush. Everything from this "worst president" nonsense (to be clear, it wasn't nonsense when said about Bush) to their talk about "stand down orders" during the Benghazi attack which happened to fall on Sept. 11 (talk of "stand down orders" was a hot topic here after the 2001 Sept. 11 attacks). They seem hard-pressed to come up with a criticism of Obama that they didn't hear us launch at Bush.

Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul

(14,173 posts)They will never admit mistakes. Because once they start, the dominos will fall.
So they do the opposite and lie big. And the funny thing is...it works. As long as the lie is big enough...as Joseph Goebbels said, If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."
Cheney and company proved it worked for Iraq. Yes there were a lot of us that didn't fall for the lies, but they know they only have to convince enough, and confuse enough of the rest, and with the help of their friends in the corporate news networks, they can pull anything over.
So The Dick has nothing to lose but to continue. He knows if he just mumbles something like "well, he's doing OK but if the Republicans were in charge we'd be so much better off", which, while Dickish, is the very least he has the right to say it would at least be understandable to say as an ex-politician. But he knows, from experience, that its better to go full tilt into Crazyland and claim the other side to be exactly what his administration was....that is the worst administration in his lifetime.
Combining Rove's playbook of claiming the other side is guilty of what they are with Goebbels playbook of telling the most outrageous extreme limit of that lie and have a zombified press repeating it for you, he is counting on at worst, confusing enough of the politically ignorant and apathetic to skate along.

(53,776 posts)What has happened to our MSM?
I mean we've watched their neutering over just the last 20 years or so. It hasn't been that long at all since there was some real independent, investigative journalism going on.
Guess it died, at least on the network level with Dan Rather getting bum rushed over his attempt at exposing Bush's National Guard lies.
Now we've got Chuck Toad and the faux-Russert nepotist masquerading as anchormen. There are a handful left in the print media but as for the rest of them, I don't know how they take their paychecks. Seems they've learned how to extend their hand palm up behind their backs while looking the other way and remaining mute as the repugs dismantle our democracy.

(750 posts)They don't understand how morally wrong or bad; immoral; wicked both Cheney and Bush were instrumental in military policy and domestic economy blunders of criminal scale.
Bush and Cheney made decisions that created the new era in the fundamentals of bailout fraud, secrecy in criminal falsified irregularities that qualifies as a deeply depressed recession with criminal values that gifted Wall Street moguls, all supported by the media, and Hollywood.
These are boomers my age need to be shamed forever.
These men need to honestly and openly admit the most stupid thing to do was to invade Iraq on a lie, then change the mantra to bring Democracy to a country that for millenniums is not separated by church and state, Iraq is based on one religion, Islam.
Bush Cheney with the media, academia, Hollywood nurtured a natural philosophy that was is in direct contradiction to our Constitution, freedom of religion.
Cast aside the torture, mercenaries, billions to trillions in American dollars in bribes, and all of the weird lies.
But realize that this day thousands of American service men suffer from post-traumatic stress from the worst history legacy has already started in reflection of the Bush/ Cheney wars. Twenty two service men are estimated to commit suicide every day. Bush and Cheney should sense and feel a monumental shame
to never appear in public again.
That is a horrendous horrible irresponsible out come to a war.

(581 posts)He and Bush created the current world mess we are in and he never comments/speaks about what they should not have done. They created and started 2 wars that were NOT necessary. The whole mid east is in a mess, because of the LIES he and Bush told the WORLD. Neither have been charged for war crimes. Both should be tried and given the maximum. Millions have died and / or lost their nation and homes because of Bush and Cheney.
I WONDER WHY REPUBLICANS NEVER FEEL THEY DO WRONG. The current Republicans are the real terrorist this nation need to be afraid of.
