We Are Headed for War Because There Is No Truth-Warren Pollock

Wall Street analyst Warren Pollock said six months ago that the “damage control (about the bad global economy) was going to start to wear off in 2015.” What are the signs the spin is wearing off? Pollock says, “Go to your super market, and that is a sign the damage control is wearing off. Prices are going up, and the quality of food is going down. The numbers of ounces on each package are going down . . . This is the damage control wearing off. A lot of people don’t have that purchasing power, and they won’t have that purchasing power in deflation or inflation. When framing an issue, why do we even frame it as inflation or deflation? Why not just talk about purchasing power? Ask our government, how come my purchasing power has gone away. Why do I have to take a seven year loan to buy a car?”

2. TY, that is quite the visual & very much at issue. While I hate to bring the rather gloomy video

here, I do believe we are granting consent when we vote for a candidate that does not truly represent our values. It's like saying, ok, I don't agree with you on much, there's a few things I agree with (hoping for crumbs), but hey, it's my party & you are the nominee, so...

I'm hoping this perfect storm that seems to be brewing wakes people up to the fact that we are not being represented. Isn't it time we demand our gov't represent and reflect our values and hopes for the future? If WE can put that kind of intention and focus into practice, perhaps we will see a change. We aren't ever going to get it with the corporate nominees.

4. K&R. Can't say that I agree with everything he says. Some of it sounds like the usual

right-wing propaganda about the nasty government. (What else do we have to represent our wishes even if the current one fails us?) But the points of view are interesting and give us the opportunity to think about a lot of things.

Are we being lied to? Yes, every day.

Is our media silent with regard to the most important events and issues of the day? Yes, always.

Are unemployment, inflation and extreme environmental degradation being masked by a lot of irrelevant gossip on the TV and internet and by economic gimmicks like changes in packaging? Yes, most definitely.

Is labor less and less valuable? Absolutely.

Are most Americans being played for suckers and kept in the dark? Yes. No doubt.

Lots of good information and provocative ideas.

Is war inevitable? I don't know.

Can we do anything to change our situation?

That's the question.

5. Yes, I felt much like you after viewing it. The issue of war is coming up for the purpose of

distracting the masses, when really what is at hand are financial matters, and is certainly changeable. I didn't see it as a right wing thing, because the right ring would be the first at drumming for war. Personally, I think as a society, we reject war like never before which is why there's the increase in disinfo to shape opinion.

Perhaps the most important thing is that people everywhere are seeing war as a racket, and we are living through a deterioration of all economies, not just our own. Everywhere we see people battling the same oligarchs. I do believe they are unable to keep up the pretense that all is well, so that's the biggest takeaway from this interview.

The most important lesson for all of us, IMO, is to expect and demand more from a gov't which is supposed to be representing us, but is clearly representing the l%. Like you, I wonder, how will we respond?
