My brother-in-law put himself through school in part by waiting tables in (heavily Republican) Orange County, CA. Talk about cheapskate horror stories!!

Besides which, our $2.13 minimum wage for tipped employees is a national disgrace right out of an Upton Sinclair novel. It's no secret many restaurants -from greasy spoon dives to the swankiest chez-this-and-that establishments- find ways of skirting the $7.25 minimum the tips are supposed to amount to.

Kudos to G.Q. I'm glad Mayor 1% put this issue in the spotlight - even if only inadvertently.

with progressive candidate Chuy Garcia.

As of February, Chicago saw 20,000 new voter registrations.

Hopefully, this signals a POSSIBLE loss for Rahm in the election. Rahm

didn't even expect a runoff -- His campaign is now spending extra dollars

on negative ads about Garcia.

Rahm is still ahead by a considerable number, but one can always hope.
