Related: About this forumEgg Drop GONE WRONG!
This is a vlogger my wife has watched for a while. He moved from California to Alaska to be with his girl and so the town he is living in is having an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. 1:20 is the start of the event. My wife told me about it and said...guess they never watched WKRP in Cincinnati Thanksgiving Episode... You don't mix Aircrafts of any type with a holiday event.

(17,997 posts)What a great character

(26,877 posts)...which inspires an exercise of best sitcom eps ever. Besides the Turkey Drop, I nominate:
"The Contest" - Seinfeld
"Chuckles Bites The Dust" - Mary Tyler Moore Show
"Lucy Does a TV Commercial" (Vitameatavegamin) - I Love Lucy

(17,997 posts)But the Dick Van Dyke Show when Rob thinks they brought home the wrong baby
All in the Family when Archie doesn't want a friend of Mike and Gloria's staying for Christmas dinner (not funny but amazingly emotional speech about the Vietnam War by Archie)

(17,997 posts)What's your favorite TV sitcom episode of all time. Hopefully, people will respond. Seems like a good day to watch funny stuff. This post sure started the day in a happy way.
I like your choices as well

(2,204 posts)though I guess Alaska doesn't have that much flat land that isn't full of snow in April.
Next year, they should hire a balloonist instead of a helicopter to do the drop. Ooh, they could even paint the balloon like an Easter egg and have a mascot in a bunny costume pouring the eggs out! I'm liking this more and more!

(50,557 posts)...this year, Alaska has way too much flat land that isn't full of snow.

(111,255 posts)not to mention that dropping eggs out of a chopper will always give you egg salad when they hit the ground.
After all, who knew that helicopters fly by forcing air downward?
Not these guys.

(50,557 posts)The "eggs" in question appear to be plastic. At least you'd HOPE Sarah Palin didn't plan this event.

(12,504 posts)so hovering low over, or really near, parents with little kiddies may not be the best idea. I seriously thought the copter crashed after seeing the thread title. Not uncommon. Pilot was either ballsy or didn't give a f***.

(4,940 posts)I will NEVER forget Les Nesmann! That episode - I had it on VHS, so we re-recorded it on DVD, is a Thanksgiving tradition here! Where, by the way, the hidden eggs were in the snow outside - after our extra couple of inches on Thursday.
