ABC local NYC news now: Demonstration demanding justice for Freddie Gray

UNION SQUARE -- At least a dozen people were arrested after protesters gathered in Union Square Wednesday night to demand justice in the death of Freddie Gray, the man who died while in police custody in Baltimore.

I considered attending this but I had a feeling that, while the NYPD wasn't in full robo-cop gear, it wouldn't be as peaceful as the Ferguson demos, and I'm not as young as I used to be.

several hundred demonstrators. There were also very many cops - I didn't go west though, so I didn't see the ones in riot gear. Seems they were lying in wait.
