I Googled the subject and got quite a few hits. Why didn't I know this before?

This is why I come to DU! Forget all the stupid infighting here, I come for this type of information.

feudal prison system. The privatizers make about $40,000. 00 a year off of each laborer. Privatizers can be the Superintendents, as stockholders, in the incarceration business.

Since ALEC is involved, privatizers are probably members of various Chambers of Commerce and lawmakers.

How on earth are students going to pass the SAT and ACT exams to get into college? Charters schools are just as bad. Apparently expensive private schools and religious school children will be the only ones to receive an appropriate education.

This sounds just like the John Birch Society's Koch agenda.

... mind you, I was in grad school at the time.

Apparently, however, this bill would enable one to teach high school even without a GED or equivalent. (And has some other interesting twists) Which could lead one to wonder what this maniac is trying to do.
