I think I was working at the then-RKO AM flagship station when I first discovered this. Somebody inevitable had it in their personal collection of outtakes. Those of us just hearing it for the first time almost wet ourselves laughing. You could hear it up and down the hall! And yes it originally was done live.

And Obama will go down as the most consequential President since FDR and it's not even close. Reagan, Clinton, and Kennedy combined can not compare to the legacy Obama has built.

Now watch the Repuibs gnash their teeth and scream for us all to "be afraid!"
So glad I voted for Obama. And am grateful to John Kerry, too. Class acts, both

(19,060 posts)This is a monumental accomplishment, I don't think that can be overstated. Only Obama could have gotten this deal done. Only Obama could have held the coalition of World Powers together, and only Obama could have gotten such concessions from the Iranians. Only Obama could have gained the trust necessary from the Iranians to get a deal like this done. Iran is a country whose elected leaders were over thrown by the US in favor of a US friendly dictator. This is a country we gave chemical weapons to Iraq to use against.
As has been pointed out, Obama had a deal like this in mind on day 1 that he took office. He worked from day 1 to toughen the sanctions and hold the coalition together. He worked from day 1 to build trust in the Middle East to make something like this possible. Remember his tour of the Middle East that the Right roundly criticized him for? This deal would not have been possible without that tour.
As always, Obama has been playing the long game. What a huge victory for him and for our country. All of this during his supposed lame duck term. This President is writing a legacy that is unprecedented in modern times. He's already the most consequential president since FDR and he's not done by a long shot. Obama is going to be a towering figure in US history, simply one of the most effective and dynamic presidents in history.

Rep. Salmon Statement on President Obamas Bad Deal with Iran
Jul 14, 2015 Press Release
This is a bad deal for America, our allies, and the world that seeks a more peaceful and stable Middle East.
Washington, D.C. Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05) today released the following statement on the outcome of the Presidents negotiations with Iran.
Iran has proven time and time again that it cant be trusted to meet its international obligations and agreements. I believe the Administration is naïve to suggest that the hundreds of billions of dollars Iran will gain access to through this agreement will not be used to continue the proliferation of terrorism across the globe. Despite the Presidents bold statement that this agreement will ensure that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not develop a nuclear weapon, it actually puts them on a path towards legitimately developing and possessing a nuclear bomb in just 10 years. The consequences will further destabilize an already volatile Middle East, but will also pose a direct threat to U.S. national security. Finally, failure by Iran to release the three Americans they are holding prisoner or provide information on a fourth American that was last seen in Iran, is additional evidence that Iran is not serious about being a true partner going forward.
This is a bad deal for America, our allies, and the world that seeks a more peaceful and stable Middle East. I will not support this agreement and I work tirelessly to convince my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to do the same.
Rep. Matt Salmon (AZ-05) serves on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific. He is also a member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce.
This is an individual elected for the people in DC making critical decisions without reading what he votes on. IS this the type of REpublican we want running our nation? He is from the 5th District of AZ covering Gilbert. AZ
