Of course, in the top levels of the CORPORATE world, being fired means you do your job SO BADLY that your company will give you $21,000,000 to bribe you to STOP SHOWING UP FOR WORK. "Here, take all this money...just...PLEASE stop wrecking our company!" Basically, it's the same situation you'd get if you were in an airliner, and the pilot started pulling the plane into a nose dive, and the passengers have a whip round, and bribe him to take his hands off the wheel and let somebody ELSE fly the plain before they all get killed. Gotta love the rugged, free enterprise philosophy.
