child, I take great exception to your likening home-schooled people to idiots.

I understand that you may actually know better - that kids are home-schooled for a variety of different reasons like because they are very bright and are not being challenged by mainstream schools, they are being bullied or they have special needs that most schools are ill equipped to handle - and if that is the case, I wonder why you would make such an insensitive statement.

regarding people who don't have the education enough to make smart decisions and are in a position of power in our government. Look at the Republican party today and its platform. You best be worrying about what decisions they make for all of our futures... I don't know about you but I want who ever is in charge of this country to be smartest thinking guy (or woman) out there, fighting for us!

you basically said that home-schooled kids are idiots.

I will agree that this dude has some difficulty speaking (and it seems to be some sort of a language processing disability) but to slam him with the 'accusation' of being home-schooled shows that I was mistaken in giving you the benefit of the doubt - you are indeed ignorant when it comes to the demographics of home-schooled kids.

enjoyed my high school experience and the three years I got to go to Cal Berkeley. No home schooling will get you into a major university un less you have some major scores to qualify you for it. Maybe he does have a disability, but if he or others like him end up taking my reproductive rights away, with their goal to destroy planned parenthood, none of that is gonna matter because I for one will be super pissed that ignorant people were allowed to make my decisions for me.

schools.

You know not everyone considers a "major university" education necessary, desirable or affordable. And it is quite common to begin at community college and transfer to/graduate from a well respected university - in fact I did exactly that myself.

But now it seems like you're saying that even people who don't go to schools like Berkeley aren't smart enough for your taste.

And I won't be sitting still for Ignorant Republican jerks who think they can speak for me and my reproductive rights. Why are Republicans like this? It has to do with their education level, pure and simple, and the fact they are also misogynistic and Racists against people like me. And I don't get to throw down my White Privilege card because I am NOT WHITE. I am Asian American and had to fight and scratch my way though school. I had parents pushing me to do the best that I could and be the best I can be. These opportunities are not THROWN at me...the world doesn't work that way. Now if you don't mind, I am going to bed, its been a fucked up day, and I have had it up to here. Peace, out.

I'm trying to have you consider that your dismissing of home-schooled people as idiots is uninformed and offensive.

And now you are saying that Republicans being misogynist and racist is due to low education levels?! What about Ben Carson for example? Last I heard 'stupid' people are not generally awarded medical degrees, let alone licenses to perform brain surgery. I mean really, misogyny and racism come in all shapes and sizes.

I'm finding it rather rich that while you are railing against ignorance you are demonstrating your own. Even my 'idiot' home-schooled 14 year old knows the definition of "hypocrisy".

Sorry you had a bad day.

4. The Republicant party

is falling apart at the seams, big time. They can't repeal the ACA, in over 50 attempts. They can't get ONE of their political presidential candidates to even get close to Trump. And now Boner's replacement is totally incoherent? Yeah right!!! Like this guys going to get the job? So Chaffetz realizes he's an idiot and wants to run. OMG!!! It's a total circus, and just keeps getting betterer (sp - intentional).

The entire republican party is a total joke to the American people. They have self destructed 1 day at a time and I'm enjoying witness this all go down in flames. Someone needs to write a book, for our grandkids.

13. Rachel: Proof read before you cast stones about grammar
Thu Oct 8, 2015, 06:44 PM

Literally, I could care less about grammar but in actuality, since I do believe it is important, here's my comment:

Presidential succession works like this:
The President is President, not a successor so his position is not counted among successors. You can't say he's 1st in line to be President.
The VP is the direct successor, 1st in line to be president (not "2nd in line&quot .
Speaker of the House is next in line to succeed, therefore, 2nd in line to succeed, (not 3rd in line).

Rachel is only one of many making this common mistake. Her writers should know better than to expose her own mis-usage as they hold up McCarthy's (his flaws really do seem much worse).
