The McCarthy flub was just an oversight. Who woulda thunk that a job titled "Speaker" would necessarily entail the ability to speak? Hell - in Hungria, they don't even HAVE a speaker!

But seriously...the repugs are not only screwing themselves, they're screwing US.
They hold the reins of government (sorta) in BOTH houses of congress.
And their main (only?) focus to be against ANYTHING our duly elected president is FOR.
WE are the ones who suffer from their ineptitude.
Bastards.

that's what this whole silly House GOP wing-nut caucus of 40 government haters is about.

They need to be called out on this over and over and over until they are shamed out of DC.
they have no business being there if their only purpose is to hate and destroy the very
institutions they are sworn to uphold and make functional for the public benefit.

Get 60 Republicans to abstain or be absent, and every Democrat in there voting.

Now that would be interesting - both politically and constitutionally.

on that court decision just like nearly everything policy wise they pretend to stand for. Try to respect a GOP voter when they talk about leadership and the GOP and Dems weakness. There isn't even a party on that side anymore let alone a leader. Just noise... lots and lots of noise.

The Republicans are real slicksters…the new way to a government shut-down.

They don’t speak anymore. This is a speak easy issue…( Midnight Cowboy) every-bodies talking at us we don’t hear a word their saying…only the echo’s of Jeb and Trump.

Whaw aah whaaw...don't stump at ground zero.

they have made a complete mockery of our political system. It's embarrassing.

I have never seen anything like this. EVER!!!

Why don't they just throw in the towel?

I suspect that the 2016 elections, will result in the biggest landslide for the dems, in all of history. How can anyone continue to support these idiots?

I'm pretty sure Bernie is picking up a lot of their voters.

I could share your optimism, but I've got a sick stomach for the continued hate that I see for our President.
Passed a pick-up truck driven by a silver-haired white guy with two bumper stickers:

IMPEACH OBAMA

and

DR. CARSON FOR PRESIDENT

Huh? Are you serious????

Also, on another pick-up:

IF YOU VOTED FOR HIM, YOU GOT WHAT YOU DESERVED, BUT I DIDN'T DESERVE THAT!

Again, really? Are you serious?

And finally, I had a person say he's not felt "safe" since Obama took office.

Huh? He felt "save" with DIMSON?

What cave was he living in?

Sorry, can't feel optimistic about the coming election - there are fools out there and we live among them - and they vote..................

But it has been what? 2 decades? since the Republican party has even attempted to be sensible about leading the country.

The GOP has been trying to redefine itself since Newt the Criminal was a playah. Now they've simply devolved to an anti-government group. So before they select a "governmental leader," they have to decide whether they're even interested in governing.
