Louie Gohmert has never given us the impression that he’s mentally stable, but his incoherent rantings during last week’s Planned Parenthood hearings in Congress show us that Gohmert can take crazy to levels we never even imagined.

I know, that's saying a mouthful.

Many thought with Michele Bachmann out of Congress that he would fill her shoes in that department. I think he has surpassed Ms Bachmann.

I still like Ms Bachmann better. When Gohmert goes off like this, it's a diabolical nuttiness. He acts all righteous, like he is speaking from Mount Sinai revealing the Word of God while he says the silliest things. Bachmann's floor speeches attempted that often, but she was at he best while speaking calmly, innocently blinking her eyes in a way that betrayed the vast, empty space just behind them and telling us rather matter-of-factly what God told her say, as if God really told her to say those silly things. Ms Bachmann, in contrast to Mr Gohmert, has an angelic nuttiness.

4. Louie was a guest on some rightwing radio talk show late Sunday night.

I didn't catch the name of the host but they were talking about the McCarthy-Speaker situation and Louie was actually making sense and sounding intelligent! I was shocked. Guess it depends on the subject matter.
