(5,082 posts)Just like Hillary so often is. Hey let's sink our party and stubbornly vote for a nepotistic candidate that will lose because half in her own party don't trust or like her. Smart move.

(46,769 posts)She accused Tulsi of getting hung up on process, and not OUR candidates.
This is SOoooo Florida. It's a problem with the Republicans and it is a problem with the old guard Dems. They will jump the process whenever it suits them and this is why the status quo continues to be protected.

(11,833 posts)So what?
I'm much more interested in how the candidates convey that they are qualified to govern, with policies that are good for all of us.
All this inside Washington D.C. stuff is boring and distracting. Wolf Blitzer could find any person who is pissed off that they aren't invited to something. Cornell West claims he wasn't invited to President Obama's inauguration (Obama's people say they invited him but he didn't pick up his phone and he had no voice mail) and has raged against Obama ever since.
Do I think Gabbard should have been invited? Yes. But it's such a stupid thing for Wolf Blitzer to be focusing on, imho.

(11,833 posts)She can watch the debates on tv. The policies that will be discussed tonight affects millions of people.
I'm not saying it's not a reflection on Democratic National Committee politics. I don't like it. I'm not a fan of Debbie Wasserman Schultz. I'd like to see another person head the democratic party. At this point it appears that both women are calling each other liars. I'm more inclined to believe the woman from Hawaii than I am to believe DWS.
What I'm saying is that for Wolf Blitzer to focus so much on it an hour before the debate begins tells me that he's more interested in drumming up controversy than in presenting the contrasts among the candidates on what they feel is the best policy that will affect all Americans. And on the contrast with the policy of republicans.

(19,537 posts)Which she is asking why DWS DOESN'T want them heard enough by restricting them to only six debates! That's process, but a BROKEN process if DWS is really concerned about having our candidates and their views heard by the voters moreso than Republicans, and having our party feel like they have enough information on our candidates to make an educated choice and not just enough by DWS's measure to have us anoint Clinton as our "chosen one".

(15,480 posts)Who died and made Debbie Empress of the DNC ?
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, a top official in the Democratic party, told the New York Times that she was disinvited from the Democrats' first 2016 presidential debate after publicly suggesting there should be more debates.
Gabbard told the Times that she was disinvited from Tuesday's debate in Nevada because of "the fact that I had publicly disagreed" with Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Top Democratic officials echo O'Malley's call for more debates
The DNC has scheduled just six Democratic primary debates, but Gabbard, a DNC vice chair, has said there should be "several" more. "It limits the ability of the American people to benefit from a strong, transparent, vigorous debate between our Presidential candidates," she said in a statement with former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, another DNC vice chair. More recently, Gabbard called for more debates in an appearance on MSNBC.
