TEN MINUTES!

And look what Sanders did with virtually no coverage in 2015! It is phenomenal! He came from nowhere to tie Clinton in the polls in Iowa and exceed her in New Hampshire. From nowhere with no PACs and no big donors. From nowhere to polls saying he would beat Trump--by what? 15 % points to Clinton's 9%! (--saw that somewhere; not in this vid).

I hope they keep NOT covering him, and we'll have ourselves a big ol' media revolution as well as a political revolution, when the people of this country rise up and choose their own damn president, and not one shoved down our throats by Corporate Media moguls and THEIR candidates!

This Seth Myers segment has a lot of hilarious stuff in it, for instance, about why young voters are flocking to an old guy, 74 year old Bernie (--Seth says he's in "the Betty White Zone," wherein the young find certain old codgers very cool). He shows Sanders crammed into the middle seat in coach in an airplane, and says that Sanders is so frugal, if he becomes president he'll travel in "Bus Force One." The audience loved it--and he even manages to make this yawning gap in media coverage funny. It's so blatant.

It's pretty disgusting even so. AND worrisome. There are many, many ways that Sanders can get scuttled by those who fear that they're going to have to pay their fair share for a good society and those who make billions from us in military contracts: phony scandals (like the "swift-boating" of Kerry); dirty tricks (of the spy agency kind); various kinds of outright lies promulgated by the media about Sanders or his proposals (we've already seen some of those); red-baiting; racist tactics; intervention of the Supreme Court (2000), and, of course, the private 'TRADE SECRET' code in all of our vote tabulation systems (owned and controlled by a couple of far rightwing-connected corporations--never forget this!); with phony exit polls on election days trimmed and tailored to fit the 'TRADE SECRET' code results (2004!).

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." --Mahatma Gandhi.

That's the famous formula for new movements with ideas whose time has come. Though we may laugh with Seth Myers about the 10 minutes of coverage that Sanders got in the entirety of 2015--compared with hundreds of minutes for the Corporate-blessed "frontrunners"--it is so ridiculously unfair--we must not forget that it was very deliberately aimed at stamping out a peoples' movement for democracy and justice that threatened from the moment that Sanders announced his candidacy, and the tactics used to stamp out this grave threat to the powers-that-be will only get much worse. We are at the "then they fight you" stage; we are about to see how foul that can get.
