"The business model of wall-street is fraud...
Massive defrauding of homeowners on mortgages...
Conspiracies to evade sanctions on Iran and elsewhere...
Conspiracies to launder the drug money of cartels...
Conspiracies to fix currency markets...
(Fines) No bank official has paid out of their own pocket. No major official has been indicted, prosecuted or held accountable.
Those who blew the whistle paid far greater costs in their careers and in their personal lives then those who did the crimes."

(50,983 posts)In all seriousness, this fraudulent business model cannot continue without resulting in a huge catastrophe.
People, support Bernie Sanders for president. If you are a Hillary supporter consider switching your allegiance to Bernie Sanders. This is a fucking crisis.

(1,342 posts)(leading CPA in Dallas) Richard Barn ~ (at city group) 60% of the mortgages were defective (increased to >80%) and did not meet the guidelines. I started issuing warnings - we have potential huge losses. I was stripped of all my responsibilities and put on administrative leave and I was told not to come back.

(1,342 posts)Richard Barn ~ I gave the FCC over a thousand pages of documents in July 2008 - 3 months before the bank bail outs. The FCC has never taken any action. They refused to release any of the pages that I provided them. They asked me to change my written testimony. My testimony was sealed and sent to the national archives. We need to reinstate the rule of law in banking. Once we had laws that held banks accountable. Ethics & accountability - concern for the decline of the corporate culture.

for the rule of law..nor regulations to be enhanced enough to prevent another

I am writing to announce the formation of a new pro bono group and a policy initiative that we hope many of our readers will support and help publicize. Gary Aguirre, Bill Black, Richard Bowen, and Michael Winston are the founding members of the Bank Whistleblowers United. We are all from the general field of finance and we are all whistleblowers who are unemployable in finance and financial regulation because we spoke truth to power and committed the one unforgivable sin in finance and in Washington, D.C. being repeatedly proved correct when the powerful are repeatedly proved wrong. . . .

(2,950 posts)I finally got to part 4 of this video - with William Black. He sums everything up, saying that it is unprecedented to have whistle blowers at such a high level. This means it would be relatively easy to prosecute the criminal bankers that committed such massive fraud.

Whistleblowers Challenge Candidates: Stand Against Wall Street Fraud
FEBRUARY 26, 2016
Isaiah J. Poole
Four people who have been at the center of some of the nations biggest Wall Street scandals have come together to send a message to the 2016 presidential candidates: Pledge to stand against Wall Street fraud and corruption not just with words, but with the kind of actions that Americans have long expected but have yet to see. . .

(30,099 posts)this to continue..terrible for the country. Unfortunate how many will pay
the price of a Clinton administration. I don't know what Bernie will
try to negotiate for delegates should he lose, so we'll see...I am not
optimistic about that. Of course if a Republican wins, well it will also
end very badly.
