They've seen firsthand how such a radical tax-cut regime ended up. I'm guessing after Brownback (by the way, I thought it was Brownbag at first), Bernie's ideas must have seemed much more convincing to them.

2. The Reagan Era "tax cuts increase revenue" line has been distorted....

Before they claimed it was the GOVERNMENT's revenue. They cooked up this nonsense that claimed tax cuts would stimulate growth and the growth would raise more money so you would have a net gain.

Turns out cutting taxes when taxes are the government's income means the government suffers a pay cut.

Now when they say "Tax cuts increase revenue" they don't even remember WHO's revenue they were trying to increase.

Ask them. They think it's business revenue. When you tell them Reagan was trying to increase GOVERNMENT revenue they act like that's blasphemy.
