The new generation running fast and taking the older generation along for a great ride into the future of this country --- no time for settling for incremental birdseed and stale water from the keepers. We need to turn the page on the old establishment, untrustworthy personalities and the lies to our faces that we've somehow managed to ignore all these years until an alternative showed the contrast of what we should expect for our government.

The result of the democratic state assembly today - a resolution - long - it will be on line in a day or two - but it said clearly that we are not happy - we resolved to take the fight to the DNC

lots of fun in Philly this summer

In American politics, a "superdelegate" is a delegate to the Democratic National Convention who is seated automatically and chooses for whom he or she wants to vote. These Democratic Party superdelegates include distinguished party leaders, and elected officials, including all Democratic members of the House and Senate and sitting Democratic governors.

"and elected officials, including all Democratic members of the House and Senate and sitting Democratic governors"

you think any of these might be politicians?

In fact many of these are also-- include distinguished party leaders

You must be a hillary supporter

" who is seated automatically and chooses for whom he or she wants to vote." Sure, some of them are elected politicians , governors, senators, representatives, but some of them are distinguished party leaders and not politicians at all. To recap, a delegate is not a politician, they can be in other roles but they are not elected to be a delegate. A Senator, governor? sure, but not a delegate. Yes, I am a Clinton supporter, I am also a Sanders supporter and I would rather have him as president although she would do ok.

is he has to change his vote because you guys want him to or you wont vote for him. Will you follow him to the ballot box to make sure he votes correctly in the presidential election? Is that needed also? or will you guys let him have the freedom to vote for who he wants to? I can understand legislation, dude wants to lower taxes for the rich with legislation I dont think you should vote for him (example, don't know their stance),,, but voting? Seems very heavy handed.

Super-delegates can be an elected official (Senators) but not all are (distinguished party leaders) hence delegates are not elected. Also they get, get, to vote for who they want to.

this happened again when it was clear that he was getting close to ending his speech and he still had not addressed the issue

Apr 2016

I can't imagine he will change his vote to reflect Colorado support for Bernie, or that he will do anything to fundamentally change the system in order to support the 99%.

Bennet was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He is a multi-millionaire whose biggest issue in the 2008 campaign was concern for the tax bill that his multi-millionaire daughters might have to pay some day because of the deficit. Oh boo-hoo. Of course he didn't phrase it quite like that.

He had only lived in Colorado for six years before being appointed by Governor Ritter to fill the Senate seat. He originally came to Colorado to work for Phil Anschutz, the multi-billionaire.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Anschutz
http://www.thecherrycreeknews.com/bennet-made-fortune-in-corporate-raid-michael-bennet/

Bennet was the superintendent of Denver Public Schools who closed a deal with JPMorgan Chase weeks after Bear Sterns failed, which cost the Denver Public Schools pension funds well over $100 million dollars in interest and fees.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/06/business/06denver.html?_r=0

I look forward to the day when he loses his seat to someone with truly democratic values.

Thank you for posting this video. It did my heart good to see "our senator" confronted so directly and made me proud to live in Colorado.

than losing respect for people. And that happened in large measure in that room today. No fewer than three speakers were shouted down by Sanders delegates who had no interest in anything but getting their own way. Their screams drove a longtime party worker from the stage in tears, and all because she was trying to explain, to people who had no interest in gaining important information, the parameters of being a delegate or super delegate. They are taking pride in the "success" of their crude bullying. There's discourse and there's conversation. This was neither. Nothing was gained but the disgust of those who came to be part of an important process. It was unnecessary and fucking embarrassing. We went out of our way to make the convention experience a positive one for those who are new to the process. So much for that.

I've never been bullied into doing anything, such behavior is a lousy persuader. If I wanted to turn someone away from a candidate I'd act like those delegates acted today. And yes, there were mutterings among people who removed their Bernie stickers on their way out the door.

one of those who actually do listen to us. He's always been very responsive, regarding it as a key part of his job to acquaint himself with our concerns. He is unfailingly considerate and has never treated any of us the way he was treated today. We already lost Udall, replaced by the oily and insipid Cory Gardner. I'd hate to that what would replace Bennet.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww.... did some citizens color outside the lines? How horrifically UN-Democratic of them to express themselves and not let the "important" folks do the telling, eh? Have you heard about Democracy Spring - heard of what's going on in England and other "developed" nations around the globe??? The status quo has gotta go. It's what's gaining recognition as a revolution. And if some of the old status quo cling-ons don't think it's fair - well - boo-hoo.
Quite some years ago, there was a gal what lost her head over a "let-em eat cake" sorta attitude towards her constituents. Of course, today such barbarity would be cut short by more compassionate revolutionaries. But the spirit would still prevail.
