Desert cammo of Luftwaffe


The link below shows a collection of images including various types of aircraft in the service of the Luftwaffe during World War applied with camouflage to operate mainly in Theatre of Operations of the North Africa. For what it's worth, my dad's experience with the Luftwaffe was during the D-day invasion, mine was parachuting out of Luftwaffe planes with the Germans in the 1980s.

I'm sure you have but maybe some others have not seen images of the so called "Dazzle Ships" of the WWI era?

(Op-art patterns painted on ships to make them less visible to a submarine a long distance away on the horizon.)
