We Can’t Burn Down The Country Just to Spite the DNC

There is a lot of understandable disappointment among Bernie Sanders supporters after the latest string of primary defeats, but the movement will have only truly “lost” if the people who were energized by his campaign stop working. We CAN push the Democratic Party to the left, and most importantly, we have to work to make sure that Donald Trump does not win the White House. So we have to dust ourselves off and make sure that our voices continue to be heard so that we can save our Democracy.

Yes, blocking Trump is the most important thing in this election. However, Hillary Clinton is not going to turn into Elizabeth Warren by January 20.

We progressives -- let's not let Hillary hijack that word -- should flowchart our plans with a lot of decision boxes at given points in the future. Do we believe we can change the Democratic Party into the party whose heritage is the New Deal or must we strike out on our own to bring that party into existence? Interestingly, that will be a lot easier question to ask if Donald Trump leads the GOP into historical oblivion in November.

This is the kind of bullshit rhetoric that is turning people away from the MSM.

Trumps a dolt on the environment and workers rights, he plays to his crowd....but there isn't a shred of evidence to support this nonsense.

I wish people would stick w the facts....theres enough bad about the candidates that we needent resort to fantasy.

13. Trump: Kim Jong Un deserves ‘credit’ for taking out rivals
Thu Jun 9, 2016, 05:16 PM
Jun 2016

Republican primary front-runner Donald Trump says North Korean communist dictator Kim Jong-un deserves “credit” for the cutthroat efficiency with which he disposes of his political foes.

“If you look at North Korea, this guy, he’s like a maniac, OK?” Trump said at a rally in Ottumwa, Iowa, on Saturday.

“And you’ve got to give him credit: How many young guys — he was like 26 or 25 when his father died — take over these tough generals and all of a sudden, you know, it’s pretty amazing when you think of it. How does he do that?” he added.

“Even though it is a culture, and it’s a culture thing, he goes in, he takes over, he’s the boss. It’s incredible.”

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-primaries/265353-trump-kim-jong-un-deserves-credit-for-taking-out-rivals

The only real difference is that a President Trump would have vastly more nukes than little Kim.

Does Hillaries support for the Iraq war and Libyan invasion that decimated water, electricity infrastructure, schools, innocent civilians mean she is going to commit genocide if she wins the general?

Theres far more evidence of a historical precedent for one than the other.

If the news keeps up with what is obviously fantastic bs nonsense talk people are going to vote for Trump simply because its obvious the ELITES despise him.

Wanna turn people off of trump? Stick to talking about his support for poisonous coal, oil, and his anti-union sentiments.

How likely is that?

If we had a truly inspiring presidential candidate this year, we could probably win a majority in the Senate. The House is another story entirely. Districts are so badly gerrymandered as to rule that out.

in the House from 2007 to 2011, under both GW Bush and Barack Obama. I know republicans cheat and gerrymander their districts, but if Democrats would actually turn out the vote, there is a good chance we can take back both the House and the Senate.

Republicans don't sit back and whine, they vote religiously every election. Democrats tend to get political in dramatic spurts, but if they don't have an inspiring candidate, they often take a "why bother" attitude. This is true especially of young voters. I know, I was a young voter once.

He has been involved in just about every fiasco in terms of international affairs that this country has been involved in since at least the beginning of the Nixon years.

He is a horror story in and of himself -- and a friend and adviser of Hillary's.

No way will we "survive" a Hillary presidency in good shape.

Hillary never released the transcripts of her Wall Street speeches. She counts Henry Kissinger as an adviser. If one of those facts did not eliminate her from consideration for the presidency, the other would.

Voted for the war, takes money from wall street who devastated our middle class, approved TPP...

The list could go on and on and on... The truth is, she seems to have gotten coincidentally, an AWFUL lot of assistance lately... Obama inviting Sanders to the WH after chatting for a long time on the phone, Elizabeth Warren coming out with the 1-2 punch to Drumpf, and STILL....

We have a Democratic contender who overSHADOWS in leadership with a competent, HONEST record who is RIGHT THERE up to and including July 25th.

So, I'm just a little curious as to all of a sudden why so many have come out today, including the GoLeftTV mouthpiece.

If you vote for someone then you are responsible for your vote and its consequences.

In the case of Hillary, a vote for her has consequences. The people who elected her to the Senate share the responsibility for her "mistaken" vote for the Iraq War.

On the other hand, those in Vermont who voted for Bernie share some of his credit for his wise vote on the Iraq War Resolution.

Voting is a responsibility. It has consequences.

I voted for Bernie because I know that I can trust him to do his best and to consider the possible long-range outcomes of his decisions.

I do not think that Hillary can be trusted to do likewise. Therefore I did not and will not vote for her.

And that is unfortunate because I would like to be able to vote for a woman for president in good conscience. But Hillary is not the one.
